Welcome to the blog we have created for our 2nd grade class at STM. Through the use of this blog we hope to be able to keep parents informed and in touch with what we are doing at school and also how you can maximize the learning experience for your child with information and advice on ways to reinforce the learning at home. Please check the blog overnight as there will be updates and changes often!

Love,

Homework for the first week of School

Tuesday, August 23rd

5 Things in a Sack due this Friday! ( See handout for more information.)

Look at your child's planner tonight and every night.

Wednesday, August 24th

Turn in all supplies if you have not done so already. Make sure all supplies are correct. For example, do they have the notebook with lines and spaces for pictures in it? Do they have pencils that say number 2 on them? Do they have a ruler with inches and cm on it? If you are unsure of any needed item, please ask.  I am here to help.

Return all papers in the Wednesday folder. Make sure to fill out each paper entirely.

Duct tape all the sides of the Wednesday folder so it can be used throughout the whole school year.

Bring in a baby photo of your child in a sealed envelope. Do not show the picture to your child.

Thursday, August 25th

Back to School Night Homework
Do one kind thing for your mom and/or dad while they are at Back to School Night!  You can make them a card, help with chores around the house, etc. Be ready to orally share how you were a thoughtful and spiritual individual with the class.
