Eucharist book- Reread your Eucharist book. Write down three facts you learned. For example:
1. First Communion is the second sacrament of initiation.
2. The first Communion is the first time we receive the Eucharist.
3. Eucharist means to give thanks.

To
help with the smooth running of the First Communion ceremony, we ask for your
co-operation and to please note the following:
V All students need to be
dropped off in the classroom by 9:30am Parents may go to the church after
dropping off your child.
V Seating arrangements –
children are seated in reserved seats with their family members. Half a pew has
been reserved for each family. Additional seating will be available behind this
area for extra family and friends that will be attending the ceremony.
V Parents and family
members are asked to remain seated before and during the ceremony. Please do
not leave your seat at any time to take photos or video.
V All the children will
gather at the rear of the church in order to process together to their seats at
the beginning of the mass. The procession will begin when everyone is seated.
V A professional
photographer has been hired to take a photo of your child as they receive their
First Communion.
V A professional class
photograph will be taken immediately after Mass. Please remain seated until
this has been taken. A copy of your child’s individual photo, as well as a
class photograph, will be provided to you shortly.
V Walk a few steps behind
your child as they go up to receive Communion. Stop a few steps back to allow
the photographer to take your child’s special picture. Parents can then step
forward to receive. After parents have received Communion you will move to the
left with your child for a family photo before returning to your seat.
V A professional photographer
will be taking photographs of children as they receive Holy Communion.
V After the Communion
Ceremony please join us for a brief reception in Scanlan Hall.
V Lastly, enjoy this
special day with your child and help to create memories that they will cherish
for the rest of their lives.

Once we are finished we will move on to the writing component of Superkids Unit 3. We will be learning how to write a letter. Please begin teaching your child how to write a letter at home in a sealed envelope.)
Go on to Razz Kids. Read and answer questions on Razz kids for 20 minutes.
(Razz Kids is a great reading website that students should be using during their free time throughout the year. The levels increase as students read and answer questions correctly. )
Students need to enter 2 things.
Teacher username: stmgrade2
Student password: It is the picture on their sign in cards in their planner.
Science- Read a book or an article about fossils and write three facts that you learned from the reading. Ask your child comprehension questions before, during, and after the reading. Due Monday, April 11th. You can find a book or article about fossils at Amazon, at Scholastic, online, at your local libarary, at STM's library ( on Tuesday morning) or ask to borrow a book or article from a classmate.
